How does credit repair work?

In short, we challenge the negative information affecting your credit by sending letters on your behalf to the bureaus. Simultaneously, we assist you with building credit to aid in increasing your credit score.

What items can you help me to remove and improve

How long does it take to see results?

You can start to see results in as little as 30-45 days. While there is no exact timeframe we can provide by law on how long it will take to complete your profile, we recommend being enrolled in the program for at least 6 months. Depending on your credit profile, it may take longer.

Can I repair my own credit?

Yes, you can. However, be prepared to know it takes a lot of time and effort to effectively complete the job; including studying credit law to educate yourself, contacting creditors, collection agencies, the 3 bureaus, verifying information, settlements, etc… Many people choose to have a credit expert complete the work on their behalf as it is their profession- similar to having a mechanic perform your car’s repair.

Is there a contract?

There is a contract that entails our service agreement, however, you may cancel at any time.

Is checking my score on SmartCredit going to negatively affect my credit?

No, this is one of the most common misconceptions about credit. Checking your credit score will never negatively affect your credit. All SmartCredit does is compile your existing information from Experian, Equifax, and Transunion in one setting.

Why do you need my SmartCredit login?

SmartCredit allows us to use a complex system to compile a full credit report audit on your behalf. Within the report, you will see any negative items on your report (charge-offs, collections, late payments, repossessions, etc). During our call, we will go over the comprehensive audit together.

If I pay a collection, does it automatically get removed from my credit report?

NO! One of the biggest misconceptions among customers is that paying for a collection will cause the score to go up. This is not true. Most collections agencies will not remove the negative item from your credit report even if you pay it. That’s why we highly recommend NOT paying any collection while undergoing our credit repair services as it is not necessary and WON’T increase your credit score by any means

How much can my score rise by?

Many different factors can influence your current and future credit score. If, for example, your utilization remains above 50% after all negative items are removed (such as charge-offs, medical collections, etc), your credit score will remain under 700. But if you follow our personalized game plan for you, we can guarantee a minimum of 720 after credit repair.

How do I get updates on my credit report ?

As we will receive monthly on your credit report, you will see exactly what we see. Our following disputes will be based on the current month’s credit report.
